I've found that the 4.0L runs best on champion copper plugs. The same kind that it came with. Since your XJ is a 2001, it won't have plug wires or a distributor but instead has a coil pack ignition. As far as the E3 plugs or other fancy ones, thats your own decision.According to the PDF installation instructions I've got from them, it seems that it should work (single hole brackets for front, and one bracket for the rear, center). After doing some research and reading as many post on here that have done this, I went out and bought the parts and completed the swap.
